The Oawster Family

Matthias, Lindsey, & Erica

I adore this family. I can't believe how long I've known them. I started really getting to know them when Carol and Stan were expecting their youngest daughter, Erica. Crazy! We had fun trying to take all these shots even though it was only close to 10 degrees outside! They're tough, though! The cold didn't stop us one bit!

We went over to Bethel where Stan and Carol met. I love shooting on college campuses. There is such a great variety of both architectural and natural backgrounds-both beautiful. I love these shots of Matthias. I think the backgrounds are perfect!

Lindsey and Erica wanted some "sister" shots together. I love the expressions in this series of photos! Absolute, genuine laughter.

Since Lindsey loves to create, we did a few more artistic shots for her portraits. I love the colors in her photos with the snow. They all turned out lovely.

The wind was really whipping up when we got to Erica's portraits. She was such a trooper though! You'd never know how cold she was!

And here's where it all began... With one of the greatest couples I know.

Thanks you guys, for having me do your photos! It was really fun. And whew! Stan even made it back in time for the Steelers game! Good thing!

'Tis the Season

Averie: Christmas 2007

I love photographing Averie! She always has a million and one expressions. She's absolutely hilarious and so angelic all at the same time! Her parents wanted some Christmas photos, so we headed over to the Como Conservatory. We got some that look Christmas-y and others that are just plain sweet.

This one cracks me up! Doesn't she look like she's posed for a senior picture?

We, of course, couldn't just do the Christmas shots. Being one year old, you have to explore the rest of the world around you as well!

Averie's grandma made her this little poof ball hat. I love it and had to grab a couple photos with her wearing it. I think it is the cutest!

Merry Christmas everyone!

Jenny & Mark ~Engagments

Jenny and Mark are getting married in the Twin Cities next summer. They met up in Duluth while working on their masters degrees. They wanted to have their engagement photos taken where they met and got engaged, so we did, and the campus was incredible!

You can see in the background that the fog was just thick. The white background is all fog. We couldn't see much past where we were walking. It was really beautiful.

This is the place where Mark proposed. Doesn't it look they're in Europe somewhere? I certainly didn't feel like I was in Minnesota as we walked around the campus. Mark had been a campus tour guide for a while and he knew lots of interesting facts. It was really fun!

Our original goal was to do the photos in October to get some of the fall colors. However, with all the rain and wind, almost all the leaves had already fallen to the ground. We found a few trees that were still hanging on to their brilliant leaves.

Congratulations Jenny and Mark, and thanks for having me do your photos!
